It is with broken hearts and the most unbelievable shock, the family announces Super Grandma Sherry Bigney’s sudden passing on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Redvers Health Centre.
Those who knew Sherry, whether as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt or friend loved her. She was the kindest, most generous person. Her kids and grandkids were her whole world. She was our biggest fan. She was our rock, our go to whenever we needed help. She was never far from her girls, Denise and Nicki, and if she wasn’t with them or Scott she was often with one of her Cindys. She was always up to go watch her grandkids compete in everything and was a major part of chauffeuring here and there. A trip to the city or casino, she was in! She never missed out. She was one of the best who leaves behind big shoes to fill but we cherish all the quality time we got to spend with her and the joy in her eyes we saw when she spent time with her grandkids. She touched many people’s lives and will be forever missed.
Sherry is survived by husband Dwayne Bigney of Glen Ewen; son Scott (Barbara) Bigney (children, Hayden and Piper) of Carnduff, daughter Denise (Eric) Allum (children, Jagger and Declynn) of Glen Ewen, daughter Nicki (Alex) Franken (children, Bryler, Dugan and Chett) of Glen Ewen; brothers Jack Leonard (Shirley Thera) of Bienfait and Melvin (Louise) Leonard of North Battleford; in-laws, Norman and Joyce Bigney; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Mary (Paxton) Leonard; siblings Margaret (Leonard) Seymour and James Leonard; sister-in-law Diane (Bigney) Boyes; brother-in-law, Darren Bigney; niece Laurie (Seymour) Parks.
A funeral service for Sherry was held at the Glen Ewen Communiplex, Glen Ewen, SK. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Mrs. Sandy Dalziel officiating. The interment followed at the Glen Ewen Cemetery.
