Sherry was born on July 18, 1956 in Rolla, North Dakota to Gerald and Winnifred Rosscup. They raised her on the family farm south of Rolla where she attended Oxford school until it closed in 1964. She then transferred to Rolla school where she graduated in May of 1973. In July of that same year, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses after she moved to Rugby, North Dakota.
In January of 1975, she met Norman Cavers at a mutual friends wedding in Winnipeg, MB. They quickly started dating and were married on July 19, 1975. She immigrated to Canada shortly after.
In the spring of 1976 they moved to Souris, MB. where she worked as a nurse’s aide. They then moved to Georgetown,ON. in 1980 where they volunteered to help build the new Canadian Bethel branch of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was soon followed by her sister Julie in 1985, Amanda in 1988 and Nina in 1989.
Sherry loved her family very much and she was a wonderful and loving mother and wife. Sherry was known for having a huge heart and soon chose to love many others who called her mom and grandma. After all her girls were born the family moved to the farm in Moosehorn, MB. There she was known for opening her heart and her home to many friends who soon became family.
