Mrs. Viola Evelyn (Reddaway) Carr of Melita passed away peacefully at the Melita Health Centre on Monday, April 27, 2026 at the age of 87.
Mom was predeceased by her husband, Larry; parents, Cliff and Dot Reddaway; partner, Bill Tilbury; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Mom is survived by three children, Wes (Gail, Hayden and Rhett), Penny (Keith, Brooke, Joey, Chase and Blake, Lance, Madi, Sutton, and Wade), Jim (Grace, Delbert, Grayson, Brandi, Paul, Violet and Nixon); sister, Yvonne Johnston (Frank, Ron, Meaghan, Marnie, Lance, Shae-Lynne and Lucas); extended family, Rick Tilbury (Noreen, Randi, Chad, Will, Anna, Dane, Ella, Lucas, Cody, Mitch, Marty, Deanna, Jaycee and Dawson), Scott Tilbury (Lana, Amber, Nile, Duncan, Annie, Branden, Haven, Bill, Chase and Charlie), Ryan Tilbury (Nicole, Kylan, Reid, Quinn, Sloan, Alivia, Claire, Cole and Emma); Vi is also survived by many nieces and nephews that were very special to her.
The service to celebrate Vi’s life was held at the Melita Legion Hall (Main Street), Melita, MB. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. A time of fellowship followed in the lower level of the hall.
The interment at the Melita Cemetery took place prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
