Our sincere sympathy to the Day family. Always enjoyed our conversations over the past 20 years. Tony would say, "come in and sit down Blaine and tell me what's new." He always had time for a visit. I remember one time a few years ago while stopping at the shop, a young salesman wearing a suit came in and asked an older man dressed in work clothes sweeping the floor if he could tell him where the owner of the company was. The older man asked if he could be of any assistance, and the young salesman snapped at him and said, "I don't want to talk to you, I'm here to see the owner of the company! " The older man sent him to the very back of the shop and said he would find the owner in his office back there. The man sweeping the floor was Tony. Rest in peace Tony, you will be missed.

I have been a Server at Husky Truck Stop in Regina for 22 years, and I remember Tony stopping in from time to time, He had a smile that would light up the room ! What a true Gent !!! . To His Family, I send my deepest sympathy .

Tony built a family business that lives on, and continues to contribute not only to Carnduff, but to most of southeast Saskatchewan and beyond. Dear Aunt Vi, Linda, Teresa, Dennis, Larry and families.
There are hardworking men, loyal men, good business men, honest men, innovative men, extremely focused men, generous and caring men, family men, humorous men, unforgettable men, great men AND then there was OUR UNCLE TONY!! He was without a doubt ALL the above and so much more. To our family and to all how knew him I know this to be true. He was the Patriarch to a large brood and was always there for any of us who needed advice, words of wisdom, help or just a good laugh. The pride he brought to the WHOLE family with all his successes, awards and accomplishments in his life time is immeasurable.
Rest In Peace is the most common condolence passed on, but Our Uncle Tony was way more than common and we send him this:
Your work here on Earth is done, God awaits you now. So until we meet again--Let them know you have arrived, shake things up a bit and in true Uncle Tony style "MAKE THEM LAUGH" and just maybe RAISE A LITTLE HELL !! while you're at it.

Dear Vi and family, Our deepest sympathy at this time of Tony’s passing. He proved that with you and his family at his side you can do anything that you set your mind to.. He had a great work ethic and did most anything, and did it successfully. I remember when we were on the cruise ship , going through the Panama Canal, one morning we were up on a high hill, admiring the beautiful view. Tony stated that the view that he enjoyed the most was looking out his kitchen window and admiring all the trucks as they were fired up and ready to leave for work, moving rigs that day!

I became a member of the Day family 40 yrs ago, and from that very point I became aware of the work ethic Tony and Vi put into everything including family , business and community. Through the years we have seen the generosity Tony and Vi have given to our community, they helped this Town build Ball diamonds, Library, Med. Clinic, roads to name a few. Given generous in our times of need during horrific wind storm by removing felled trees to the floods of 2011 and 2014.
Over the last few days we have heard so many people reference Tony as a hard worker, Legend.
As a outsider coming into this family I wish to say how proud I was to call him “Pops”
