Barb and Family,
Our sincere condolences on Allan's passing. As a high school kid in the area I had the privilege of playing hockey with Allan and the Pierson Bruins. Allan was a tremendous hockey player and all round athlete. Even more-so he was a gentleman and a mentor to many young men, including myself. One night in 1969 as we traveled back to Pierson after a game in Saskatchewan, Allen said to me, "You should consider going to Bemidji State University in Minnesota if you want to continue playing hockey and get a post-secondary education." I had never heard of Bemidji State before. In the Fall of 1969 my university days began. I will always be grateful for Allen's strong influence in my life.

Dear Barb, Laura Jean, Myra, Alison and families,
We were so very sorry to hear of Butch’s passing. It’s often hardest to say goodbye to those who were the easiest to love. Your beloved husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa was one of those guys. So well respected and loved for his kind and gentle soul. At the same time he was a fierce competitor and gifted athlete. The Edgar family will always have special memories of the fun we shared cheering on our dads and the infamous Pierson Bruins - packed rafters, road trips, sleepovers and family suppers. May he Rest In Peace. ❤️
In Sympathy and Friendship, Roberta, Lori, Janie &Garry

It’s a sad day for the Lee family and all of those that crossed paths with this amazing man. The cracked smile as seen in this picture, is an image that he will always be remembered by. He made time for everyone and always went out of his way to hear how you were doing. There are so many good things that we not only admire about Butch but, we can also share in and follow in his footsteps.

Our sincerest sympathies…

Dear Barb and Family,
Sincere condolences to all of you. Butch was someone that we all admired for the way he played his sports, and most of all, how he treated people and carried himself. He was a “pro” in every sense of the word. A gentleman off the ice, and a fierce competitor on it.
I was one of the many that had the privilege of calling him Coach. I can’t tell you how much he influenced and impacted all of our lives, even to this day.
Big hugs to all of you, and rest easy Butch❤️🙏

Aunt Barb and family: Words can not express the love we share for Uncle Al and you all. From starting the morning reading the Daily Bread after breakfast to rides on the stone boat with Big Jim, to those most precious family gatherings, to the bursting of song, quick wit remarks, to baseball and hockey, to holidays at Killarney Lake and all the other precious memories - too many for this tiny space to hold. A community farming man, who put God, his family and others first, will always live on in our hearts and in our minds. Much love and hugs to you all.
