Our very sincere condolences to all the Mains families, We just learned of Fred’s passing this evening. What a nice man he was! My brother and I remember , with fondness, the afternoon we spent with him, as he drove us around and showed us all the old Mains homesteads. He was a fountain of information. I loved the telephone calls we shared, as well. I will have really great memories of him. . I know how much he will be missed.
Very sincere sympathy

Deb, Dan, Lyndon, Terry and families
We didn't see them often, but we always enjoyed visiting with your mom and dad. When we visited with Fred, since Lil's passing, he always said how much he missed her and her picture was right there always. We were amazed at his memory and there was never a lull in the conversation. It was hard to leave his company and we would gradually get from the chair to the door and then still be chatting and smiling as the door closed. Our sincerest condolences to all of you but we know they will be happy to be back together after a life well lived.

We are all so sorry to hear of Uncle Fred's passing. His good humor and story telling made him a favorite guest in our home. Watching Mom and Uncle Fred visiting was like watching two kids enjoying their memories as only best friends could. Our family will miss him.
