Mildred Marriett (Burton) Fewings

Mrs. Mildred Fewings, formerly of Pierson, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Brandon, MB. on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the age of 81.

Mildred Fewings was born on September 11, 1939 in Napinka to parents Mary and Charles Burton. She was a welcome and final addition to a family of four sisters and three brothers. Millie moved to Pierson to work at the Royal Bank where she met and married Gordon Fewings. They owned and operated a family farm where they raised four children. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; son-in-law, Gary Bishop; her parents; sisters and brothers, Florence Burleigh, Lorna (John) Ramsey, Arthur Burton, Alfred (Anne) Burton, Iris Neufeld, Ronald Burton (stillborn) and Ina “Bobbi” (Peter) McConnechie; brothers-in-law, Raymond Fewings and Mervin Nicholls; sister-in-law, Kathleen Fewings; nephews-in-law, Brian and Dale Fewings; niece, Bonnie Bowering. 

Millie is survived by her children, Wade (Loretta) Fewings and children Tyler (Amy) Fewings, Anita (Toby) Renwick, and Paul (Mandi) Fewings; Holly Bishop and children Kristen (Jeff) Howe, Cassandra (Kenny) Wurz, Cody Bishop, and Kyle Bishop; Tracy (Ron) Maffenbeier and children Jared Maffenbeier and Jeremy (Lizz) Maffenbeier; and Joel (Cindy) Fewings and children Ryan (Ainlsey) Fewings and Raschelle Fewings. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Dominic and Paige Maffenbeier, Phoenix Maffenbeier, Ella, Claire, and William Fewings, Georgia Renwick, Jordyn and Hadley Fewings, Charlie Fewings, and Evelyn Howe. She leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law, Muriel Nicholls, Rose Fewings; brother-in-law, Robert Kilhorn; nephew, Winston (Corrine) Burleigh and other numerous nephews and nieces. 

A private family graveside service was held at the Pierson Cemetery, Pierson, MB. on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
