Welcome to the memorial page for

Thomas "Tom" Allen Campbell

May 14, 1944 ~ August 25, 2021 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Mr. Thomas "Tom" Allen Campbell passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the age of 77.  We are comforted that he was with friends at the time. Tom was born on May 14, 1944 at the Antler Hospital in Antler, SK. His first few years were lived on the very land that he died on, this would be significant for him as his land was very important to him.

He attended Sinclair School and was faithful to his school and did not continue when he would have had to go to Reston to complete Grades 11 and 12. He did however obtain his G.E.D. in later years and was very proud of that accomplishment.

Tom farmed and worked rigs for the next number of years. He was councillor for the Albert Municipality for 12 years and Reeve for 12 years. He drove school bus for Fort La Bosse and received his 30 year pin this year.  Driving school bus allowed him to spend summers with his sons and grandchildren, which he enjoyed very much. Tom was a Marriage Commissioner and Commissioner of Oath, a position he held for about 20 years. He was very proud to officiate at numerous weddings. His proudest moment of officiating was at his daughter Lara and Alex’s wedding in Whitefish, Montana. Tom was a firearms enthusiast and was always willing to converse about his collection. He belonged to the Antler Gun Club.  We could write a book on his life and travels.

Tom is survived by his children and grandchildren: Thomas Wade (Amanda Tatton) Mercedes, Bentley, Austyn and Morgan; Angela Swanson; Lara Liptack (Alex); Brent (Lyn) Angellei and Greg; and the mother of his children, Steffie Kampmann; siblings: Christine Kabbeke, Dale Zelmer, Terry (Evelyn), Dwight (Rhonda), Brian (Brenda), Donald (Jo-Anne), Greg (Charlene), Bev Hoff (Jan), and Keith (Holly); uncle, Bill Campbell, aunt Kay Cairns; precious nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews too numerous to mention; his numerous friends and his special “people” all of the students who rode on his school bus. His school bus family and their parents were very dear to Tom.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Maureen (Cairns) Campbell; brothers-in-law, Albert Kabbeke and Gordon Zelmer; nephews, Tony and Kevin Kabbeke.

Tom was laid to rest during a private family service at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Tilston, MB.
