A life well lived. But oh so hard to let go!
Heard about Mabel in high school when Christine and Sharon hung out and then more with Brett and Stacey Mae.!
I was blessed to nurse both John and Mabel!
Our deepest sympathy and prayers to all tour family!

Thank you for the kind words Charlotte. It was a comfort to us knowing Grandma had such caring people in the hospital for her final days, as with Grandpa when he passed.

I was saddened to hear of Mabel's passing. I always enjoyed visiting with her at the lodge whenever I popped in and she was sitting in the common room. If I ever got a chance to eat with them, I was seated with the Tilston crew -- Mabel, Kay Herbert, Florence Slessor, and later Darlene Jones or Catherine. Her friendly, and often quite witty comments,, will be missed from her coffee gang in the front room! A classy lady!

Our deepest condolences to all of Mabels family on her passing. She and John were our closest neighbours on the farm and great friends to Dad and Mom. Mabel was a fine lady that I have know all my life and have many memories of our families spending lots of time together. My fondest memories are of Dad and John always laughing about something and Mom and Mabel quietly giggling away at them. When I was very little I remember Mabel calling her living room couch a davenport. It was a big word and one I had never heard before. I had to file that away until we got home so I could ask Mom and Dad what that was!! I have never forgotten that - funny what memories we hold on to. May you all take comfort in a life time of memories. There will be one humdinger of a party going on to welcome Mabel in heaven. Hugs to you all. Still looking forward to some good John and Tom stories Ken and Judy!

So sorry to hear about Mable. Remember her from growing up in Tilston and being a lovely neighbor. Very quiet. Very proud of her family. Our thoughts and memories become different when we are the oldest generation. We remember all the things that our parents taught us and helped us to become the people we are today. She will be missed.
Much sympathy to all.
