Robert "Elwin" Byers

Mr. Robert "Elwin" Byers of Oxbow and formerly of Frobisher, passed away at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the age of 87.

Elwin is survived by his wife, Isabel; five children: son, Holden (Kathy) of Oxbow, SK their children: Amy (Dalas) Smith, Grande Prairie AB, Alicia (Christopher) Robideau, Grande Prairie AB, Ashley (Daren) Lloyd, Edmonton, AB; daughter, Connie (Ken Sebastian) of Lampman, SK, her sons: Thomas Fisher (Tama Bellrose), Regina, SK, Carter Nelson, Estevan, SK, daughter: Amanda Fisher, Regina, SK, step-daughters: Kayla (Nathan) Petterson, Estevan, SK, Melissa (Kyle) Sobush, Bienfait, SK;  son, Patrick (Sherry Fowler) of Oxbow, SK children: Tanner (Tiffany), Estevan, SK, Kelsey (Adam Hysuik), Estevan, SK, Blaine (Alexandria McGovern), Frobisher, SK; daughter, Carrie (Julien) Forget of Magog, QC, sons: Maxim Forget (Véronica Fredette) of Valcourt, QC, Jasmin Forget of Oxbow, SK; son: Robbie (Melissa) of Oxbow, SK their children: Jared (Lindsey McNab), Josh, Justin, Jill, and Jayda; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Una Seymour; mother-in-law, Elsie Kerslake; sister-in-law, Violet (Andy) Pasiechnik; two brothers-in-law, Curtis (Barb) Kerslake and Mace Canute.

He was predeceased by his parents, John & Aleda (Hannah) Byers; two grandsons, Chris Byers and Marlon Byers; and brother-in-law, Lyle Canute.

A private family service to celebrate Elwin's life was held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from the Frobisher Cemetery, Frobisher, SK., with Mr. Don Britt officiating.
